And you thought I'd never post about anything but Sylvana and my relationship to her, again!
So, with the shifting-around of our household, we have a living room. And it now has a BigAss plasma screen TV in it. And I love movies, and company. So I've been looking forward to a certain combination for a while.
So I'm going to start holding Tuesday night movie-watchings, beginning next week. Hopefully I'll even remember to post reminders regularly. I'll be predisposed, at least at the beginning, to movies that lend themselves to the (relatively) big screen, but if there's a movie that's got a good plot/character development but isn't amazingly visually appealing, I could go for that too. 8:00 seems a reasonable start time to me, but if it's a long movie or enough people would rather begin earlier, we can bump it back.
If you show up, you should be able to deal with a baby being present, with all that entails. Children, of course, are welcome, but I don't anticipate showing kid-friendly movies, unless there's a specific call for that; nor is our house childproofed yet.
So, for next week: ideas? Let me know if you think you'll be there and what kind of thing you'd like to see.
UPDATE: Looks like The Matrix for next week. Not a fascinating choice, but I'm sure there will be some more unusual offerings along the way. Hopefully, see some of y'all here next Tuesday.
